"Weather-Proofing Your Home for Stunning Real Estate Photos in Raleigh"

Concerned about prepping your home for the Raleigh market amidst bad weather forecasts, especially during a month like January, which brought a whopping 10.84” of rain to Raleigh and Fayetteville? No worries—I've got you covered on how to make your listing shine even on gloomy days.

Overcast days happen to be some of my favorites for real estate sessions. Those rain clouds act as a natural diffuser for the sun, resulting in softer shadows, natural colors, and an overall stunning appearance.

But that's not all—JRKnowles Photography also collaborates with top-notch photo editors to literally bring good weather to your home! Check out these two photos taken on the same day with a different sky. It's a true representation of the home; all we did was add a blue sky to make it pop.

Here are 5 simple tips to prep the exterior for your listing photos:

  1. Wrap up all hoses.

  2. Store garbage cans inside your garage or place them at the end of your driveway (vehicles too!).

  3. Prune bushes and trees to showcase your home.

  4. Consider adding a pop of color—flowers in a vibrant pot or fresh mulch can work wonders.

  5. If needed, power wash your house, sidewalk, and driveway. It might be time-consuming, but the difference is worth it!

Whether you're an agent looking to book a session or a homeowner with questions, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always up for a phone call to ease your mind!
